Getting started
Sonva lives in the macOS menubar. After installing, the Sonva mark appears next to your other tray icons. Click it to drop the recording pill, or open the main window from the tray menu for your full clip library and boards.
The first time you record, macOS asks for Screen Recording permission. Sonva needs this because it captures system audio through Apple's ScreenCaptureKit API — the same API used for screen recording. Sonva does not record video or take screenshots; the permission is named for the API, not for what we do with it.
If you ever decline or revoke the permission, the pill will tell you and link straight to the right pane in System Settings.
