Capturing audio
Open the pill, click REC, and play the audio you want to capture — anything playing on your Mac. Click stop, drag the trim handles to the part you want, name it, and save.
Clips are capped at 30 seconds. The cap is a product rule — keeps clip libraries focused on the reference moment rather than entire tracks. If you need more, take two clips.
Click Cancel in the trim view if you don't want to keep the take. There's a 3-second Undo if you change your mind.
To bring in existing files, use the + Add audio button in the main window or press ⌘O. Sonva accepts WAV, MP3, AIFF, FLAC, M4A / AAC, and OGG. Files are copied — your originals stay where they are.
